Safeguard File Encryption and iOS

Hi there, is Safeguard File Encryption fully compatible with iOS?

When sending an encrypted file to an iOS device via email, the mail client shows the attachment. When a user clicks the attachment the user is then prompted for the password, as expected. However, upon successfully entering the password, the screen remains on the SOPHOS Safeguard Encryption screen and says 'successfully accessed' but does not actually load the unencrypted document, nor does it give any indication of how to access the unencrypted document.

Testing on iOS11 and with PDF & Word documents.

Hi Simon,

Please help me with the following:

1. Are your devices managed by Sophos Mobile Control?

2. Are you able to save the document locally to the phone?

We have the same problem

1. Our devices are managed by Sophos Mobile Control

2. The html container yes, we can save it locally on Iphone but it doesn't open with any browser eg via File manager program

Which email client are you using on the iPhone? Have you tried others - Such as Outlook?

Dear Michael

we are using iphone's native email client.

nevertheless I tried outlook as well and the behavior is the same

I enter the password of the "password protected file", the page says successful but no file is downloading or opening

And there is nowhere to press to initiate the downloading of the decrypted file

Hi Nest Admin

In order to narrow down the source of the issue, did you try to sending the file to the iOS device through another source (like uploading it to the cloud and downloading it on iOS device) to confirm if the problem is with the decryption?
