Why Safeguard?

We recently purchased JAMF product for Macs and JAMF handles filevault encryption keys for Macs. Management has asked to do some research and find why would still need to use Safeguard if Jamf can handle what we're looking to do. Anyone ran into this?

Thanks

  • I think if you have a need to manage BitLocker for Windows devices as well as FileVault2 for Mac then one product makes sense. It's one portal for staff (if allowed/setup this way) or one portal for the tech staff to use. That means consistency, ease of use, security etc...

It was our main reason for choosing SafeGuard - one product to manage both. It was also at the time very reasonably priced.

If you don't have a mixed estate you perhaps should draw up a chart/costing about what offers the most in terms of value against the requirements you currently (or might) have.
