Windows 7 Can't log in after install/encyption

I have a Windows 7 laptop with SafeGuard installed. When it boots to the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen, nothing seems to respond. The hard drive seems to be clocking but I can't login.

Booting into Safe Mode works fine and allows me to login to the desktop.

Is there a way to manually remove SafeGuard to allow me to login again without using Safe Mode?

Hi Colin - Is the hard drive presently encrypted?

If not I'd log into Windows and uninstall the SafeGuard and do some more testing to see why it's not working as expected.

As SafeGuard is an MSI you'll probably need SafeMSI to enable MSI to be run in Safe Mode.

It's a tiny little file and once run it'll allow MSI to run/uninstall.

I believe the hard drive is encrypted now.

Thanks for the software but I am still unable to uninstall. It claims I need "administrative rights" even though I am logged in as admin.

I would suggest that there's a policy running that is not allowing the removal of the SSG software.

Worth creating a separate policy (or policy group) and adding the laptop into this. Annoyingly though you'll then need to sync the client to get this update and if you can't log in with SSG running.....
