Migrating SafeGuard LAN Crypt to SGN

Hi all,

as mentioned in the Release Notes SGN 8.1 does not longer support SGLC -> what would be the best procedure to migrate from SGLC now?

I would think installing SGN 8.0 since this version can cope with latest SGLC files but what then? Would I have to remain on that version 4ever? What happens if I open a SGLC encrypted file with SGN 8.0 > will this adjust the header.

What if I want to open a SGN 8.0 encrypted file with a 8.1 client?

Hi Dan,

SGN 8.1 is downward compatible and hence SGN8.0 encrypted files should be accessible and decrypt-able using SGN 8.1 provided you have the corresponding keys for the subjected file(s).
