Im looking at ways to automate my install. Safeguard will be installed to 260 endpoints, and if i can automate this, it would make my life so much easier. As the pre-install and client package MSI's require no user input, i can deploy these centrally fine, but the main issue is the full SGNClient.msi. For laptops I customize to include full disk encrpyption and data exchange and for PC's i need data exchange only. I have tried to use an MSI builder for this, but when i run the customized MSI's, it throws up an error.
Is there any way to automate a custom install of the full client ?
Morning Mark - Yes, it's fairly easy to do and the MSI does support switches to aid this.
It's the ADDLOCAL command you need to be looking at.
I've used it here although it's bundled into a installer that renames PC, binds to AD and then installs the three MSI's with switches.
On that note though - there is a MSP to be applied to the client now too - so we now add that patch into the routine too for the new clients.
