  • Hi Bruno,

Seems like your endpoint's are not able to update against your Update Cache server. It establishes connection to your Update Cache via port 8191. Run some connection tests to see whether or not this port is open.

What is the status of your Update Cache from Central? Go to Devices > Servers > select your Server with the cache > Summary tab

Also, have a look at our FAQ page for possible tips: Sophos Central Update Caches Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The behaviour for updating is as follows:

    1. An update is triggered on the endpoint
    2. The 'UpdateCache' registry key is accessed and the 'Locations' value queried for the available caches
    3. The cache with a corresponding local IP will be used unless:
      • The local cache cannot be reached. The next cache will be evaluated and used.
      • All caches cannot be reached. Sophos will be evaluated and used.
    4. This process is repeated on every update (by default every 60 minutes)

As per the last step, if Update Caches are not reached, then it will default to Sophos. Could you provide further lines to above logs, there should be a line indicating attempting to reach Sophos CDN

Could you also check whether endpoints are actually updated? There is currently a known bug where it is reporting as outdated on the dashboard despite being up to date.

    Thanks,
    Karlos
