[Sophos Notification] Updates for mobile apps released this week.

Hi Everyone,

Updates for Sophos mobile apps released this week:

  1. Sophos Mobile Control for Android- V 7.1.2978
  2. Sophos Secure Email for iOS - V 7.44.2 (Release notes)

What to do

Users who have enabled automatic updates in Google PlayStore will receive the app update automatically.
Everyone else has to update the app manually via the PlayStore.


Users who have enabled automatic updates in AppStore will receive the app update automatically.
Everyone else has to update the app manually via the AppStore app.

Customers who use device based license assignment for Apple VPP have to push an app installation task from the Sophos Mobile Server to their iOS devices to install the latest version.

    Additional Notes:

    With this release, devices still connected to a SMC server below 5.0 will show a warning message to the users with the following content:
    Warning: Your Sophos Mobile Control device management server is outdated. The device management will stop working within the next months. Please reach out to your IT team with this message to remind them upgrading the server.

    Customers seeing this warning message should update their Sophos Mobile server to a supported version.
