Sophos Mobile Security 8.5.2765 (23) call blocking terminates ongoing calls

I'm using Sophos Mobile Security 8.5.2765 (23) on a Samsung Galaxy S9+ which is running Android 8.0. I've found that if I am on the phone with someone, and an incoming call that will be blocked occurs, the app terminates both the incoming call and the ongoing call.

For example, I have the app configured to block calls from numbers not in my contact list. If such a call comes in while I am on the phone, my call is terminated.

Is this always reproducible? I tried it now on a S9 and the 2nd incoming call was ended as it should, the first one continued after that.

Thanks for the replies. I apologize, but I forgot to state that I also use Google Voice. I'm not sure if this plays into the issue. I will try testing with Google Voice enabled and disabled.

I've tried with and without Google Voice, and the ongoing call is dropped each time, if a new call comes in and is blocked by Sophos.
