Sophos Mobile: How to renew Apple VPP token

Overview 

This article describes the steps for renewing Apple VPP token using Sophos Mobile.

Steps to be performed

  1. Log into your Sophos Mobile web portal or Sophos Central Mobile. 
  2. On the dashboard, you will see a warning message displayed stating that “Your Apple VPP token has expired”


  3. To renew it, now to go Setup > System Setup/Apple Setup > Apple VPP



  4. You will be able to view the organization details and the expiration date. 
  5. Open Apple Business Manager at https://business.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. 


  6. Click on the arrow next to your Apple ID and click on “Account Summary” as shown in below Screenshot.



  7. Under the Account Summary, click on the “Download Token” option where a *.vpptoken file will be downloaded.   
    Note: If you’ve set up several locations for your organization in Apple Business Manager, click “Download” next to the location that matches your Sophos Mobile account.  



  8. In Sophos Mobile, go back to Apple VPP tab and click on “Upload A file”, and upload your downloaded *.vpptoken file. 



  9. Once it is uploaded, you will see the new expiration date. 



  10. Now enter the Apple ID which you have used and your country code, then click on “Save” 



  11. You will see a notification on the top-right corner stating that “The modifications have been save”. 



  12. Click on the dashboard, the warning message will no longer be displayed.
