Server Advanced Security Settings

Under Advanced Security for server protection, are there any exceptions I need to work on before enabling these features?

  • Not really.  You should be good to go.

    For the "Detect network traffic..." feature.  This is implemented by the Malicious Traffic Detection (MTD) component. 

    If you see any issues with processes being monitored for connecting to "bad" addresses, the an AV exclusion for the exe name of the process using the "file/folder" exclusion type (can be full path or even a directory), will exclude the process from this.

    If you wish to play it safe you could enable an option every couple of days.  This way if you do see anything odd, you'll know which option it is.
