We have a few users that have Microsoft Power Query for Excel installed. Whenever they enabled the add-in it crashes Excel. If we disable Sophos Intercept it works just fine. I can't seem to find where I can whitelist this COM Add-In. Any ideas? Sophos continually flags this in RCA as 'Exploit CallerCheck'.
A fix for this is available in the next build of HitmanPro.Alert (593). Once you are on this build you can recreate the event with Excel and it will now be able to generate a thumbprint which can be used to exclude only this behavior and only in Excel in the "Detected Exploits (windows)" scanning exclusion section.
In reply to TheChaves:
The Hitman.Pro fix is online now.
And after you exclude the caller check in Excel then PowerQuery is working fine.
Hi,
whats the deal with this?
In reply to John Ellery:
The last release fixed our Problems with Powerquery.

Cloud based?
Cloud based, what? Office or Sophos? Office Pro 2010 and Sophos Central.
Hello sorry,
Sophos Enterprise Console and Office 2013.
I know that the following isn´t helping you but i think SEC is not that what Sophos is pushing for.
We still have issues with Excel 2016 x64 and querying data on websites.
Has there been another update?
It looks like this issue has returned!
In reply to Aditya Patel:
Hi.
What are you doing about this?
Will there be a fix for this?
????????????????????????????????????????????
We are seeing this issue still too!
Has this been logged by Sophos and are they working on it?
