How sophos intercept X can be installed on devices which doesn't have an internet connection?

1.Is it possible to make a server assisted installation,so that updates can be pushed from the server?(only intercept X installation is needed)

Actually we have 300 devices which doesn't have internet connection all updates are pushed from the server.

  • Hi jingeo,

Yes, the Sophos client (Intercept alone) can be installed on clients without internet access but it would require some additional work to be done. To achieve this you need to have a setup an Update Cache and Message Relay and this server machine would require an internet connection.

For the Intercept X alone installer package - Login to Central Dashboard> Under protect Devices> choose the component> Intercept X (make sure other options are unchecked).

Post setting up the Update Cache and Message Relay, you can install the client using the command line option pointing it to the Message relay / Update Cache server.

    Eg:  SophosSetup.exe --messagerelays=192.168.xx.xxxx:8190
