We are facing the same issue and when we rename Hitman DLL hmpalert.dll located in C:\Windows\System32 to disable Sophos starting hitman – and this seemed to fix our issues.
Windows 10 -1709 OS
We are using SEC 5.5 with endpoint security version 10.7.6 on all our clients.
I would appreciate, if you someone from community members guide through a permanent solution to fix this issue.
