New Endpoint/Server Protection and EDR Features Early Access Program

 Note: Use of all features and functionalities provided under the Early Access Program is subject to the Sophos End User License Agreement.


The New Endpoint/Server Protection and EDR Features Early Access Program allows customers to test the latest and greatest endpoint and server features and functionality as they are being developed by Sophos.

 See below for descriptions of the the features currently in the Early Access Program: 


  • 30/04/2020 - Live Response allows admins to remotely connect to devices and get access to a command line interface so that detailed investigations can be performed, or to take prompt action to contain or remediate a suspected threat. See more on Live Response here.
  • 20/04/2020 - A New Endpoint and Server release gives access to new UI for Central Endpoint and Server devices. See more info here. 
  • 17/04/2020 - New Linux EDR agent now available in early access.  See more info here.
  • 14/04/2020 - Live Discover allows admins to search their data to answer almost any question they can think of by searching across their endpoints and servers using SQL. You can choose from a selection of pre-created queries that can be fully customized to pull the exact information that you need and help answer IT operations and threat hunting questions.  See more on Live Discover here.
  • 04/11/2019 - IPS and AMSI Protection technologies. See more info here.
  • 15/11/2019 - EFS Guard, Dynamic Shellcode Protection, CTF Guard, ApiSetGuard new Exploit mitigations.  See more info here

Enrolling in the early access program is easy, see details in the presentation shared here.  Keep in mind that if looking to test functionality on both endpoints and servers you will need to enroll in both the Endpoint and Server protection early access programs available in Central.  Unless otherwise stated new features will only be available to devices enrolled in the Early Access program.
