Intercept X EAP blocked communication with Sophos Central

Hi all,

One of our customers has a Windows 10 device with EAP of Intercept X V.2 While trying to uninstall his Hyper-V, some services remained. After reboot the complete system was wrecked and Sophos didn't receive any more update from the management console.

Specs of his device:

He was able to log in via safe mode and alter registry settings to uninstall Sophos completely and perform re-install.

This solved issue.

Anyone has seen this before?

  • We have seen some uninstall issues with the EAP that are being addressed prior to GA.

    I will see if engineering can reproduce this specific uninstall behavior on a windows 10 VM.
