Sophos System Protection stopped

 Good morning,

if've got the following early access endpoint situation:

Existing native Endpoint Advanced, added to the early access programm.

Everthing seems to work but the "Sophos System Protection" service won't start up.


Any idea? 




  • Getting this in the ssp.log:

    E 2018-11-20T06:24:24.828Z SXA: Failed to initialize SXA
    E 2018-11-20T06:24:24.828Z Failed to start agents Initialisation of agent 'SXA' failed with code: -162

  • Hi Mr.Roboto,

    Can you please help me with some additional detail on this issue. Is this issue only seen with the clients that are in EAP? What is the status of the service on the endpoint client, is it started or stopped?

    Can you also check if you can manually start it and see if it throws an error?

    Sorry for the delay, it is working at the moment.

    Maybe a missing update, I don't know.
