Mac Sophos Anti-Virus Not Connecting to Update Server

com.sophos.autoupdate: Error: Update Cancelled at 15:16:57 16 November 2017

com.sophos.autoupdate: Error: Could not contact primary server at 15:16:57 on 16 November 2017

com.sophos.autoupdate: URL is invalid

I have tried updating it on our intranet which has web filtering and ip blocking of malicious sites and ip ranges but I have also connected the laptop to a mifi which has an open connection to the internet and it is giving the same error.

Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

posting in the applicable forum would be better than here in General.

Which product (on-premise SEC, or Central) is it and what it the Primary server? Sophos or a company web server? How was it installed, did it ever work, when did it stop working?

Enterprise Sophos, Installed locally and configured to use Sophos Server.

It would not connect for updates immediately following installation.
