endpoint web threats reporting

I work remotely and my work gives me a laptop computer with Sophos endpoint & endpoint self help installed. I was wondering on the Web threats portion if the log is sent to the administrator or is just saved on the local computer.

On my free time I was watching streaming tv shows on a forum that constantly has annoying pop ups some are porn related and thankfully Sophos closed some of them saying they could be a threat. When looking at my Sophos endpoint log it shows these sites and I wanted to clear them out, but can not see any quick way of doing it. It asked for "administrator logg-in which I do not have. I was thinking "boy that could be embarrassing if those popped up on his log".  How much info, if any, does Sophos send to the admin? or are the logs all saved on my computer.

Maybe on business trips I need to to bring my own laptop...

  • Hello gorgse,

in managed installations the Agent sends alerts and events to a central console. So it doesn't matter what's in the local log, the horse is out of the barn. On the contrary, fiddling with the local log could be seen as a sign of remorse.

You don't have to watch steamy content or visit such sites in order to get annoying porn related pop ups or otherwise embarrassing connections. Administrators are usually aware of this.

[your] own laptop - without adequate protection or just to keep the logs to yourself [;)]?
