Should I be worried. I then get told

But if I look in services Network Protection seems to be running but the shield in task bar still has a cross on it

    Uninstalling Product
    must say I have never noticed such a message, but hen I very rarely looked at this log. And in the case of an error I always check the ALUpdate logs (in %ProgramData%\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Logs\) that have more details and are better suited to determine what has happened.
