Adding exception to Firewall

Hi, I have installed the Firewall Client on a single PC with the default policy. I've purposely set it to block everything and I will add exceptions as I go along. Only problem is that it doesn't seem obvious how to add an exception!

So lets say I have seen that GoogleUpdate.exe is being blocked and I want to allow it. I go to Firewall>Default>View/Edit Policy>Advanced Firewall>Configure>Applications>Add and I just get this screen with no obvious way of adding GoogleUpdate.exe. Could someone help please?

Hello John Cassell,

please see chapter 5 in the SEC Policy Setup Guide and the Firewall Policy chapter in the online Help. Monitor mode is probably what you want.
Please note that if you block everything you want see blocked applications or connections in the console. It might not be obvious but in normal mode just exceptional Events are logged. The operational log is only on the endpoint (simply because it would be too much data).
