Sophos Endpoint - Protecting clients


I am trying to protect some clients in the console and I am getting a couple off errors, either 'Account invalid or has insufficient rights' or 'Installation failed. See knowledgebase article 29287'.

    Few things that might help with installation issues in general:

    1. Ensure that you have administrative privileges to run installations on the machine.
    2. You should be able to telnet ports 8192, 8194 from Server to endpoint and endpoint to server. Make sure these ports are open.
    3. On the endpoint: Remote Registry, Task Scheduler need to be running and set to automatic; Windows installer service needs to be able to run as well.

    Still check KB 29287 to ensure you have its items taken care of.
