No Network Drive, Nor Network Printer Access

 Hello,

Since I installed Sophos (Endpoint Security and Control) I have lost access to my network drives and network printers. When i go to "Configure Firewall" and check "Allow all Traffic" they both come back to normal operation. So, apparently Sophos blocks my access. I don't know their IP addresses. All I know is something like this:

  • \\staffprinting\dpxxx for printer
  • \\xxx.xxx.ac.uk\username

I don't know if I have installed Sophos Client Firewall (SCF). My OS is Windows 7 Professional. Any idea how to solve the problem? Thanks.

Greetings

Amir-Homayoun

  • Hi there,

how did you configure your firewall policy in the Sophos Enterprise Console?

Did you use the standard policy or did you create an own?

In our business we set the client firewall policy to block incoming traffic and allow outgoing traffic. Keep in mind that we only use this policy for clients, Server firewalls are not installed!

Try changing your policy and test it out.
