Sophos Firewall Client

Hi,

Have a handful of machines that will not start the Sophos Firewall Client Service at all. When i attempt to start it it says

"The Sophos Firewall Client Firewall service on **MACHINENAME** started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs"

Any thoughts? There are no issues of the machines no updating.

Hello pdturbo80,

any other events in the Event Log? Can you open the firewall log on the endpoints and if, any message?

The c$\ProgramData\Sophos\Sophos Client Firewall\logs mdb log file is pretty small and opening it up doesn't say much. There are no other log file either (in C:\windows\temp)

In the event log I can see it starts and then immediately stops-no errors recorded.

Hello pdturbo80,

I think you'd have to contact Support. There might be some verbose logging available to troubleshoot "early" errors, I've never needed it though and also can't find an applicable article or post.
