Failed to install package SAVXP (MSI 1603 error)

G'day,

On a single server I am unable to install Sophos AV. Whilst 3 other servers (similar config) have succeeded, this one keeps failing. The only thing different on this server is Navisphere has been installed.

When i compare the "Sophos Anti-Virus Major Install Log" file with a successfull logfile i notice the following (in addition to the 1603 error) ..

SwiRollbackInstall: swi_update.exe not found

 and from there it performs the rollback procedure...

Seems that the first two lines of the example above are successfull, but for some reason, it stops there...and rolls back. (basically the logs are the same up until this point)

The failed server then ends with:

MainEngineThread is returning 1603

    Hello IK,

    looks like the failed install didn't succeed in starting the SAV services as after Entrypoint: StartSAVServices it rolls back the installation. The failed attempt to start a service should be recorded in the event log. Also the CustomActions log should have details - just search for StartSAVServices.
