I am seeing thousands of XML files left behind, all relating to badger:xxxxx on our servers running Intercept-X.

The files seem to be related to the auto-update service. Is there way to keep these  files from accumulating?

Thank you,

Brian

  • Hi Brian -

    Where do you say these files are accumulating on these machines? Are these in %programdata%\Sophos\AutoUpdate ?

  • No, they are in SysWOW64.

    Here's one;

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <ReleaseAttributes xmlns="badger:ReleaseAttributes">
    - <Attribute name="DefaultHomeFolder">

      </Attribute>
    - <Attribute name="Lifestage">

      </Attribute>
    - <Attribute name="Name">

      </Attribute>
    - <Attribute name="TargetTypes">

      </Attribute>
    - <Attribute name="ReleaseTags">

  • Hello

    These files are associated with parts of the updating process and are expected to be in that location. Removing these files are not recommended.
