talpa-deny Errors on CentOS7

Hi,

I'm getting this on my CentOS7 VM:

[754779.283317] talpa-deny: Error occurred while opening /opt/atlassian/bitbucket-home/shared/data/repositories/165/objects/35/77e345fbcebf990cc8eea790ad142d795b77a2 on behalf of process git[10923/10923] owned by 1001(1001)/1002(1002) <512>
[755808.438527] talpa-deny: Error occurred while opening /opt/atlassian/bitbucket-home/shared/data/repositories/373/objects/a8/16bb33c5ac04cb36b1ec54575d262f2a3905cc on behalf of process git[11912/11912] owned by 1001(1001)/1002(1002) <512>
[757121.448880] talpa-cache: Disabled
[757121.449049] talpa-cache: Enabled

Some details on the savscan:

SAVScan virus detection utility
Version 5.63.0 [Linux/AMD64]
Virus data version 5.70, November 2019

I found a post dating back 2009 saying these are extra debug information and safe to ignore. That's 10 years ago. Is this still the case?

Kind regards,

Francis

  • Hi

Could you please run the below command and firstly check the status of Antivirus.

    /opt/sophos-av/bin/savdstatus

AFAIK, If it is active, and on-access is not, then it can be permission issue on the below files or it is in use.

    /opt/atlassian/bitbucket-home/shared/data/repositories/165/objects/35/77e345fbcebf990cc8eea790ad142d795b77a2
    /opt/atlassian/bitbucket-home/shared/data/repositories/373/objects/a8/16bb33c5ac04cb36b1ec54575d262f2a3905cc

If on access scanning is also running, then we probably need to verify from the logs for these errors.
