Installation failed. Error 80070057

I have installed the software remotely and locally from the share. Automatic updates work, but the client does not respond using the Router so remains greyed out on the console.

I have checked the normal things (mrinit.conf, registry keys, firewall, permissions) and still get no where. A sample of the Router log is below showing the recurring "Attempt to get client interface from non-local caller".

Any suggestions gratefully received.

  • Hello ,

there is one article that mentions the Attempt to get client interface from non-local caller error, but at least the more than 65 addresses does not apply. Guess the Agent log shows the same errors as in the article.

It looks like the Agent fails to connect to port 8194 on both the Resolved IP addresses: 192.168.0.3 169.254.164.249 - these are contained in the local IOR, the 169 first.

  • Hi Christian,

I saw the problem once I read your answer. The TEAM NIC had set up incorrectly and had generated a false IP address (169.254.164.249). After disabling the networking and setting up the NICs again to the correct settings the server suddenly appeared on the console.

    Many thanks for your help
