Updating issue in SEC ?

Hi,

I am having an issue where the systems are showing as up to date on the local machine, but in the Sophos Enterprise Console it shows not up to date since ( around 3-4 hours ago)
What could be the issue ?

For example :

On the system : Up to date with current time i.e 7pm

In the Enterprise Console : Up to date Not since 19/9/19 3pm ( Last time package became available 2pm)

Why is it showing not updated since X time when locally it is updated.

a common cause is a communication issue. Please check the Last message time in the Endpoints view, tab Computer Details.

Hi Christian,

Last message time is showing 4:40pm, about 2 hours back as per my local time.

I tried telnet to 8194 and 8192 to server its working fine.

My RMS envelopes folder is about 2000 entries

Hello Kandarp Desai1,

there's the disconnected endpoints article, I'd suggest to start with the second incarnation of step 4. (the Network Communications Report). Also check the endpoint's Router logs.

What is the updating interval for your updating policy for endpoints? If a large interval is configured there may be long time where there are file differences between what an endpoint has vs what SUM has. By default it is set to 10 minutes but if this was set to say 4 hours, an endpoint could take up to 4 hours to pull the newest threat definitions that your SUM already has. In that time it will continue to report as not up to date until it attempts an update and matches the SUM.
