Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transformpaths are valid

Hey eveyone,

I'm trying to remove an older version of Sophos and install the newest one available...but when I am in add/remove programs and try to remove the Sophos autoupdate agent i get the following error "Verify that the specified transformpaths are valid"...any suggestions on what I can do to get this issue resolved? thanks!

  • Hello RyanS87,

I assume it mentions the following: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{15C418EB-7675-42be-B2B3-281952DA014D}\nnnn.mst. You should find this path in the registry value Transforms of the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\BE814C515767eb242B3B829125AD10D4 registry key. Did you (use a tool to) clean up the \Installer folder? Creating the folder (if it doesn't exist) and copying the appropraite .mst from ...\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Cache\sau might help.
