Sophos Email Appliance - Corrupted/incomplete VMDK download

Hi,

I see that yesterday has been released the new version of the Virtual Sophos Email Appliance - I've tried to download it from different connection and different browsers but the "sea-4.5.2.2-base.vmdk" is always incomplete/corrupted (the sha1 I got from the downloaded file doesn't match the original one).

Is there some issue going on or am i doing something wrong?

As for now I am not able to deploy neither the old nor the new version of the appliace:

- version 4.0.x wont get past the network check because of the certificate issue (I'm talking about this issue https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/134995)

- version 4.5.2.2 can't be downloaded..

I was able to download both vmdk files without any issues. However, the hash values don't match as you said for the file sea-4.5.2.2-base.vmdk. Let me check this internally and get back to you.

thank you! The same happens to me: I can downlaod each vmdk but the "base" one has a different SHA1, this one in particular:

985e10ee210c06ba101ed60250d721bbe3fbad01 c:\temp\sea-4.5.2.2-base.vmdk

Also if you try anyway to deploy the VM, you'll get a broken system that won't boot.

Please let me know, I can't be the only one with this issue.

This should be resolved now. I have a confirmation from the internal team and I've also checked the latest sea-4.5.2.2-base.vmdk file which has a correct hash value now. Would you please check at your convenience and confirm?

vmdk and sha1 are now ok - But I still get this error while importing the OVF in my ESXi lab (6.5.0 Update 2 (Build 8294253):

Right after the error, I can turn on the VM and it seems up and running, but during the import it has skipped the hardware/sizing configuration page and the license agreement page.

I'll try on another ESXi version, please let me know what you think about the error above.

Hi,

the issue is now solved - While the VMDKs were ok the OFV file wasn't the right version and it has been fixed now.
