Information provided - There is no easy way to add a replacement device. Adding a replacement device is as good as adding a new device. Backup/restore does not support RED device config as well.

RED appliance replacement - recommended steps

If someone is replacing a RED appliance - a best practices guide would be great.

As it is, we cannot add the new one with the same settings as old for obvious reasons.

Alternatives I can think of at this time result in longer down-time, which we need to avoid.
