Exempt Group from Sophos Network Threat Protection

Hi All

We are running SEC 5.4 and using version 10.6 of ESC.  We have an issue with a group of PC's running a certain application.  After performing troubleshooting we have determined that the program is running slowly due to the Sophos Network Threat Protection service.  As a workaround we have simply disabled the service and the program now runs smoothly.  However, this results in the clients not being compliant with policy.  Does anyone know where Network Threat Protection can be configured to either not affect a program or be disabled entirely?

    Hello Rob,

    you started with SEC 5.4.0 - cause otherwise you would have to explicitly enable MTD. Please see the MTD FAQ article for details.

    Apart from that, you please contact Support if possible as the sntpservice shouldn't have such an impact.

    Thanks as always for your reply, it's much appreciated.  I'll try disabling this and will report back.  I've had this logged with Sophos for a while now but frustratingly I don't seem to be getting anywhere.  Will chase up with them and post back on here when we get a full resolution.  In the meantime though this has been a big help thank you.
