Sophos Migration Tool Error "Failed to replicate migration package"

Hi Everyone!

I am having issues with the Sophos Migration Tool..

Whenever I migrate some workstation from SEC to Central I am getting this error:

Failed to replicate migration package.Error during local package replication. See knowledgebase article 124906 

Then I checked the logs in the MigrationAgent.logs and found this error:

2020-12-29T02:56:48Z WARN Unexpected file found in package: SophosSetup.exe
2020-12-29T02:56:48Z ERROR Migration package preparation failed: Expected file 'SophosInstall.exe' not found in package.

how to resolve this?

I tried to copy the link of the installer from central and paste it to the browser and change "SophosSetup.exe" to "SophosInstall.exe" and put the installer to the "..\SophosUpdate\CloudMigrationPackage" folder, but whenever I rerun the migration tool and migrate pc the "SophosInstall.exe" is being deleted and the same error in logs occurs.

    Hello Rochelle Lubao,

    which SEC version are you using? Did you install the Migration Tool using the link in the Windows Start menu or did you download it?

    I am using sec 5.0, i download it.

    Hello  Rochelle Lubao ,

    could you provide the complete MigrationAgent.log? It looks like - for whatever reason - it's downloading an outdated version of the CloudMigrationPackage.

    actually that's what I am wondering I really don't know why the migration tool is looking for the old installer.

    I haven't used the tool so I don't know the details of its workings. Perhaps can shed light on what could be wrong.

    I am not sure specifically. Can you download the migration tool again from your central account and try doing it again. 

    Please let me know the result.
