I have a laptop with new installation of Sophos Endpoint, it work for 2-3 days at the buisness. After my collegue take the laptop last weekend for work at home.
When he open is laptop all access was block... For your informtion the Laptop have Windows 7 Pro.

Cannot access Sophos Endpoint Security and Control under is session, no internet, no folder access...

I found that I can run another session without this problem.

Someone had this issue or a way the get back all access on is windows session.

  • Hello Steve,

there's no obvious indication that the issue is related to SESC - what makes you think so?
Has your colleague his own account, how did he log in when he opened the laptop? He could work or hew could not? At which point did the failure occur? With session do you mean another user - and if you log on with user A there's this issue (even after a reboot) but not with user B?

Sorry to swamp you with questions but the description of the issue isn't very clear.

  • Hi Christian,

    what makes you think so?

Never have issue before, strange that is just after installing SESC... So my colleague take is laptop from the business for the weekend and when is open at our home the problem began.

Has your colleague his own account, how did he log in when he opened the laptop?

Yes, he has own account, he open the laptop at the same way at job, same account.

He could work or hew could not?

He couldn't work with the laptop, internet was blocked, cannot access folders.

At which point did the failure occur?

When he open the laptop at is house.

With session do you mean another user.

    Yes.

And if you log on with user A there's this issue. (even after a reboot)

    Yes with is user.

    but not with us.

    Yes

I saw under my UTM Endpoint protection the laptop with the satus [not compliant] when a try to repair the laptop at job.

  • Hello Steve,

    under my UTM Endpoint protection
    ah, I see.
It might be (or it's likely) Endpoint which is the triggers this but I think a solution can only be found in conjunction with the UTM. I've never heard that Endpoint causes such symptoms - unless the OS itself is compromised (but then it would affect all users).
This laptop is regularly used by different people at work as well as at home and has always worked? If so, you should probably ask in the UTM group,
