Endpoint gets balloon pop-up that site is blocked, but site is allowed by web appliance.

I can access site if I disable web control.

 

trying to get answer in forum as I have been in queue for hours!

    Hi,

    At the endpoint in Chrome (I find the Dev tools easier to use), hit F12 to open the dev tools.  Then in the Network tab, click on preserve log and add the domain column.

    If you visit the site and get the balloon, you should see a https request fail.  It should show as red.  I assume there is a resource loaded by the site from a domain that is categorised as something that should be blocked?

    my endpoint (PC) works just fine going to site.  end-user endpoint does not have chrome loaded.  will go to sire on my PC with chrome following your suggestion.

    You can use IE, F12 will start the Dev tools and there is an equivalent network trace option that you have to manually start.  You can get the same info but the presentation is not as good I find.
