Endpoint Protection on Linux Servers: How to trigger update and scan ?

Hi,

Currently I have sophos endpoint protection which is managed by Sophos Central. But currently, i'm not able to  find a reliable source/documentation regarding how could i trigger a scan from the command line or via api.

Its really important to notice that running the scan manually via Sophos Central is not an option for me since i want to create an automated process for scheduling scans.

  • Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. You may check this article for the command line available for Linux. You can use the "Savscan" command to perform the scanning on your system through CLI. API scan isn't available for Linux systems, so scanning through API isn't possible.
