Enterprise Console allows you to set an application control policy for groups of computers so that you can block or authorize programs. This article describes the procedure to authorize applications that are blocked by an Enterprise Console application control policy.
NOTE: You can block or unblock an application only from the central console, in the Application control policy section.
Applies to the following Sophos product Enterprise Console
The previously blocked application is now allowed when the endpoint computer receives the policy.
NOTE: If you cannot check which applications are blocked for a particular endpoint computer, open the machine.xml file in a text editor on the endpoint and search for either an application name which is being blocked by Application Control or the blockedAppCList phrase to find the beginning of the list of blocked applications, as received from the central console. See, Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+: significant files and registry entries.
