This article describes the steps to recover bricked APs using the Flash Tool.
Applies to the following Sophos products and versions APX series: 120, 320, 530, 740 and AP series: 15, 15C, 55, 55C, 100, 100C, 100X
Note: If for some reason the Flash Tool was not successful in flashing an AP, there is a chance that the folder "Firmware" will get deleted. So be prepared to have a backup.
Depending on the AP model, it can have one or two boot partitions.
U-boot → boot <primary> → if failed boot <secondary> → if failed run recoverap
If the last step fails, then AP will reboot and follow the same process again.
