Trying to enroll an Apple DEP device with Sophos Central fails.
Looking into the Sophos Central Mobile section the following error is shown:
The Apple DEP server token might have expired or has been revoked. Please refer to https://deploy.apple.com
Going through the procedure to update the Apple DEP server token results in the following error message:
Could not request account details with uploaded DEP server token. The token seems to have the correct format, but might have expired or has been revoked.
Applies to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s) Central Mobile
This affects enrollment of new Apple DEP devices as well as setting up Apple DEP in Sophos Central.
This issue is resolved.
If it was tried to renew the token while the system was having issues, the DEP token has to be uploaded / renewed again. To adjust the DEP token follow the steps in the "What to do" section.
If the Apple DEP token was not touched, the error message should be gone and DEP communication works as before.
To resolve the issue, perform the following steps to re-upload the Apple DEP token.
After following these steps the Apple DEP communication is established again.
