Advisory: Sophos Email Appliance - Sandstorm connection issue causing network connectivity test to fail and submissions reports fail
Applies to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s) Sophos Email Appliance
Pulling reports on sandbox submissions shows samples in error state. Message will remain in quarantine until admin releases them
network connectivity test will fail
[Update] Development has started the release process for the version containing the fix (184.108.40.206).
Note: If you have already applied the below workaround below then we recommend that you remove the manually uploaded certificates prior to upgrading to 220.127.116.11. If however these were left in place and your appliance has already upgraded, then do not try and remove them post upgrade.
Messages can be released from quarantine.
[Update] Development has started the release process for the version containing the fix (18.104.22.168). See note above before applying the below workaround now.
The following certificates can be added to the trusted CA's
Note: After applying the above workaround the Network Connectivity Test within the GUI will still show the sandbox.sophos.com test failing. This is just cosmetic and the ability to successfully upload files to Sandstorm will in fact be restored.
