Based on data that Sophos received from the license activation request, we discovered that the product is operating from a country that is under a comprehensive embargo administered by one, or many countries, or an international organization (e.g., the United Nations). Currently, the following countries are under comprehensive trade embargoes:
Additionally, many countries maintain blacklists of persons, companies, or organizations that have been determined to be threats to national security or foreign policy. Sophos currently screens all transactions against approximately 250 different government blacklists, including the Entity List, Special Designated Nationals List, and Statutorily Debarred Parties list from the U.S.; the Restrictive Measures List from EU; and, the HM Consolidated List of Financial Sanctions Targets and List of Proscribed Terrorists Group from the UK.
