When starting the Sophos Mobile Service the admin page is not accessible. The websites states that the Sophos Mobile service is currently started.
Looking at the server.log file located in %MDM_HOME%\wildfly\standalone\log\ the following error message can be found:
2019-09-30 09:09:46,281 INFO [org.jboss.as.connector.subsystems.datasources] (MSC service thread 1-2) WFLYJCA0001: Bound data source [java:/smc_jpa] 2019-09-30 09:09:46,727 ERROR [org.jboss.msc.service.fail] (ServerService Thread Pool – 36) MSC000001: Failed to start service org.wildfly.clustering.jgroups.channel.ee: org.jboss.msc.service.StartException in service org.wildfly.clustering.jgroups.channel.ee: java.net.SocketException: error setting options
This issue can be caused if the multicast protocol is disabled on the server on which Sophos Mobile is running.
Multicast is required by the underlying Wildfly web server for clustering purposes even though clustering might not be configured within Sophos Mobile.
