When running the Sophos Mobile setup due to an update or a new installation the System Property check runs into an error indicating that the connection to the Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) backend is not possible. Within the "Sophos Mobile System Property Checks Report.txt" file located in %MDM_HOME%\standalone\widlfly\log\ the following error can be found:

This issue is caused by Google turning off the above-mentioned URL completely.
Note: This behavior only affects new installations or updates of Sophos Mobile on-premise.
Applies to the following Sophos product(s) and version(s) Sophos Mobile
Customer running into this issue cannot perform the installation or an update to a newer version which also supports FCM.
To resolve this issue and be able to install or update customers should follow the procedure mentioned in the Workaround section.
This issue will be fixed with Sophos Mobile 9.5 currently scheduled for end of October 2019.
To continue with the setup even though the System Property Check reports issues a command line switch can be used to proceed.
