This article provides additional information about the web filtering feature introduced with Sophos Mobile Security and Sophos Mobile 9.0 for supervised iOS devices.

As of Sophos Mobile Security 9.0 for iOS, web filtering is available similar to the Android version.
To be able to use this feature the following prerequisites must be fulfilled:
To be able to use this functionality, a Mobile Security policy must be created
After creating the policy, assign the policy to the supervised devices in question
Once the policy is assigned, the Sophos Mobile Control app has to synchronize to get the base configuration. Afterwards, the Sophos Mobile Security app will receive the configuration when it is opened and the web filtering policy will be applied.
Differences between status Warn and Block
If a user opens a web site which is considered insecure, a notification is shown. In case the website category is set to Warn the user has the possibility to tap on the notification and add the websites' domain to the Allow list or Block list
If the website category is set to Block a notification is shown and the web page will not open.
Please be aware to enable the "Push Notification" for the Sophos Mobile Security App to get the notification for the blocked "Content"
