A Windows 10 computer fails to boot and displays an Inaccessible device error.
This occurs due to the Boot-Start Driver Initialization Policy being enabled and set to the classification option 'Good only'. This can be configured in Group Policy or locally in the registry as detailed in the following article:
Sophos cannot determine the classification of other boot-start drivers so returns the classification 'Unknown'. As the policy is set to 'Good only' this triggers the Inaccessible device error on boot.
