This article describes the steps to determine if your Cyberoam appliances are eligible for updating to the XG Firewall Firmware.
Customers who do not currently need the performance advantages of a new hardware upgrade are able to install the Sophos XG Firewall Firmware on their Cyberoam Appliance. You will benefit from the world’s best visibility, protection, and automatic response of the Sophos XG Firewall. Additionally, if you are using Sophos Intercept X or Sophos Central Managed Endpoint, you can take advantage of all of the benefits of Synchronized Security. The following sections are covered:

Not all Cyberoam Appliances are eligible for upgrading to the XG Firewall Firmware. To determine the eligibility of your Cyberoam Appliance, please follow the two steps:
Find your Cyberoam Appliance and HW Version in the list of eligible Cyberoam Appliances below
Evaluate the resource utilization on your current Appliance to see if it is within performance boundaries.
If you have a positive result to both steps, your Cyberoam Appliance is eligible for running the XG Firewall firmware. A migration guide is available to assist you in making the transition to the XG Firewall. For more information see Cyberoam OS to Sophos Firewall OS Upgrade Guide
If you do not find your Cyberoam Appliance listed below, or the HW Version is not listed, it is not eligible to install the XG Firewall firmware.

How to determine your HW Version
To determine the hardware version of your Cyberoam Appliance, enter the following command in to the Cyberoam Console:
cyberoam diagnostics show version-info
The revision number is stored in the “HW version” field. For detailed information please refer to the following KBA.
How to determine Average Utilization
This information for a Cyberoam Appliance can be found under: Diagnostics -> System Graph -> Memory and CPU utilization graphs
The above indicators are the maximum recommended values and are expected to work in common scenarios. The performance of the appliance may vary in a specific environment depending on bandwidth, number of users, connection size, connection rate, security profile and configuration and traffic type.
