The logs can be divided into 2 phases: Download phase and Installation phase.
This archive file is unpacked by the stub installer to form the files that make up the stage two installer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\CloudInstaller\SophosSetup_Stage2.exe
As the Stage 2 process runs, it carries out prechecks. A message is displayed in the installer if there's a warning or a failure.
Once the prechecks were completed, the installer shows a page listing the components selected or licensed for, when you downloaded the complete product from Sophos Central or passed on the command line.
The computer will register with Sophos Central and this is the first time the client appears in the Sophos Central UI.
Shortly after registration the computer will receive the updating policy which includes the updating credentials linked to the account, subscription information and optionally a list of update caches. From the credentials, username and password are derived the customer file which determines the packages available in the warehouse for the licence and the features.
