This article provides information regarding the Application Filter recommended settings to block proxy applications.
Applies to the following Sophos products and versions Cyberoam UTM with Cyberoam OS version 10 onwards
The following are the application filter recommended settings for CLI and GUI to block critical/evasive applications such as Psiphon, Tor Proxy (Tor Browser), Torrent, Ultrasurf, HotSpot Shield, etc.
Along with P2P, Proxy and Tunnel category, applications listed below must be denied in the concerned Application Filter Policy. In the case of CROS, Micro App should be enabled in Application Filter Policy.
