Cisco has updated their AnyConnect app. Since this update, the "Cisco AnyConnect" VPN profile created within Sophos Mobile Control does not work anymore on iOS devices.
This is caused by Cisco releasing a new "Cisco AnyConnect" app and renaming the existing one to "Cisco Legacy AnyConnect". The VPN profile still works for the "Legacy AnyConnect" app.
This article describes the steps to create a profile which also works with the new Cisco AnyConnect app.
The following sections are covered:
Applies to the following Sophos products and versions Mobile Control
<dict> <key>AuthenticationMethod</key> <string>Password</string> <key>AuthName</key> <string>MyUser</string> <key>AuthPassword</key> <string>MyPassword</string> <key>AuthPasswordEncryption</key> <string></string> <key>RemoteAddress</key> <string>my.vpn.server</string> <key>ProviderType</key> <string>packet-tunnel</string> </dict>
With the release of Sophos Mobile Control 7.1 configurations possibilities for both Cisco AnyConnect apps will be available.
