Dynamic URLs are created from a script and are generated based on calls to a web site's database. A static URL is a web page with standard HTML that does not change unless the web developer edits the HTML. The Sophos Firewall Bookmarks feature creates a connection to a specific URL and allows clientless access to internal networks or resources. Dynamically generated URLs break this feature.

This is a technical limitation due to the functionality of HTML5 VPNs like the Bookmarking feature. Bookmarks requires that a static URL is used when they are created. Dynamic sites should be accessed through IPsec/SSL VPN tunnels or with the WAF function instead of Bookmarks.
